Attending the meeting were Wayne Nieman, Lisa Hebert, Amy Kubacki, Joe Hudak, Terry Speck, Andrew Mangels, Jim Strunk, Justin Hein, Marybeth Whelan, Steve Pettijohn, Kevin Krantz, Tim Opsitnick, and Ray Glinka.
We had a guest join us who will be coming new member once approved by the board. Tiany Krupka will be joining us as a Rotarian!
Today's meeting was to be a board meeting; however, we did not have a quorum of board members, so a regular order of business was discussed.
Club news:
- Kaovya, raising money for the Leukemia Society, has already reached $48,000, which is just shy of her $50,000 goal.
- There will be no meeting on May 21st, given we will be participating in the over 90 celebration at the Westlake Community Center.
- The district is sponsoring a fundraising event on behalf of the president-elects in our district. An e-mail has gone out asking for your support of Amy.
- We have received three student forms from Bay High School for participation in the four-way test. Another 4 student forms should be submitted shortly representing Westside Christian Academy and Westlake high school.
- Marybeth has offered to manage our grant project with help from Katie, who will participate by managing some of the mechanics and paperwork. Marybeth requests that if anyone has any ideas for the grant project, let her know.
- Andrew reminded the group of the district conference at the end of April.
- There is an art fest meeting on March 5th at the library. We have not received confirmation from the Beck Center regarding being our featured artist. Andrew and Joe will be looking to identify another option.
