The July Board meeting of the Westlake-Bay Village Rotary Club was held on July 23, 2025. The meeting was called to order by President Amy Kubacki at 7:30 and began with the invocation, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Four-Way Test.
In Attendance: President Amy Kubacki, Pat Graham, Jim Strunk, Joe Hudak, Joe Kraft, Jeff Appel, John Hanna, Lisa Hebert, and Patty Zinn. A quorum was present. Also in attendance were Rachel Maver, Tim Smith, Ray Glinka, Kevin Krantz, Wayne Nieman, Scott Goggin, Terri Speck, Tianyi Krupka, and Steve Pettyjohn.
Treasurer’s Report: Joe K. gave a finance committee report on the Corley Foundation. Our investments are within the parameters of the guidelines set forth for the committee. The current balance of the fund is $354,010 as of June 30, 2025.
Donation Committee: There were no new requests made for the committee to consider. We have donated about half of our member request donations, which is on pace for our budgeted amount. Wayne Nieman will be taking Herb Hoppe’s place on the committee.
Speaker Committee: We are currently booked through the end of October.
Service Projects: Rachel Maver is investigating a number of service projects for the club to participate in, including the Cleveland Food Bank, Village Project in Bay Village, Ronald McDonald House, and Joel’s Place for Children, also in Bay Village.
Membership Committee: We need a new chairperson for the membership committee to replace our President, who did an admirable job the last two years. There are funds available from the District for the membership drive.
New Business: The date for the golf outing and clam bake has been confirmed. The event will take place at Mallard Creek on October 3rd . The Rose sale will take place on October 17th.
Club New :
Final arrangements for Saturday’s Art Fest are being fine-tuned. It’s now all hands on deck as we are ready for a wonderful day. Pray for the rain to hold off one more day.
