Club business:

  • The were two requests from the donation committee. Jim moved, and Joe K. seconded the motion that we donate $500 to Peace Jam and $1000 to the Texas Flood Relief Fund. Motion carried.

Our speaker today was our own DGE Terri Speck, who gave a wonderful presentation on her recent trip to the Rotary International Conference, which was held June 21-25 in Calgary. The theme of the conference was "Magic All Around," and it attracted over 16,000 participants from 140 countries. There were several keynote speakers, and Terri brought home several great ideas to help our club and our District.

We had time for our happy thoughts, and the meeting adjourned at 8:28.
