The Rotary Club of Westlake-Bay Village held its weekly Wednesday meeting on September 10, 2025. The meeting was a hybrid with 19
participants meeting via Zoom and in person. President Amy Kubacki called the meeting to order at 7:31 a.m., began with a prayer and
meditation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the Rotary Four-Way Test.


Amy welcomed everyone and shared club news.

Club News:

  1. Joe Kraft is heading up a walk team for Walk to End Alzheimer's on October 4th at LCCC. Please plan on joining to walk and/or making a donation to the team.
  2. Save the date, our golf outing and clambake is scheduled for October 3rd. Thanks to Lisa, Katie, and Jim for all their hard work so far. There is an electronic flyer and registration form on the website. Everyone should also have received a flyer in their email. Registrations are slow coming in. Please register your foursome and help to secure sponsors for the outing.
  3. The Rose sale will take place on Friday, October 17th. Price will be $20, just as in years past. Pat is out of town until October 16th, so we need orders in advance.
  4. The Friends of the Library will be holding a fundraiser at Hoolihan’s on September 18th from 5-9 pm. 20% of whatever you spend will be given back. Just tell your server you are supporting the library.
  5. October has 5 Wednesdays, so we will be doing our diaper drop for Providence House.
  6. Our Pints and Pours for Polio will be held at Fat Heads in North Olmsted on October 2 nd from 5-8pm.
  7. We are still looking for volunteers to step up and take over some committees for next year’s Art Festival. Please consider where you can be of service. 


Our speaker today was Heidi Hudak, Chief Marketing and Experience Officer for University Circle. University Circle Inc. (UCI) is the

UCI has their own police department providing high visibility patrol services to include foot and bike patrols with a two-minute average response time. UCI offers access to free programs every year to ensure all families can enjoy world-class culture. There are over 12M visitors each year. University Circle hosts 25,000+ jobs, $3B+ in property value, and nearly 10% of Cleveland’s economy packed into 1.25 square miles.
