Club business:
  1. Art Fest:
  • We need to move on to Plan B for the featured artist as we have not heard back from the beck center. Andrew and Joe are working on that.
  • Attendance at monthly art fest meetings, which occurred on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 PM, has been spotty. Meetings will now be moved to 7:00 AM prior to the Rotary meeting. The meetings will still occur on the first Wednesday of every month.
  • Call for artist postcards are now available at the library through Andrew.
  • Patty reminded us to be focused on sponsors. The sponsor packet was sent out to all club members by Andrew on March 12th.
  1. District conference:
  1. On March 26th we will be presenting our check to the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center at 9:00 AM. All are welcome to attend.
  2. Our speech contest will be held on March 12th beginning at 6:00 PM. We have 8 students participating.
  1. The district is still collecting money for the president-elect donation effort that involves Soles for Souls. Here's the link to donate to Amy's page. Please donate if you can. https://charity.pledgeit.org/allohioPETS/@AmyKubacki
  1. Terry announced a Positive Peacebuilding gathering is being held in France open to young professionals. It's a select group of approximately ten from the US and 10 from other countries. It will be held in English and all expenses will be paid. Please let Terry know if you know of anyone who might be interested in attending.
Speaker: Our exchange student, Tubtim and Tina (host Mom), attended and presented a fun and informative presentation on her life and family in Thailand.
