The Rotary Club of Westlake-Bay Village held its weekly Wednesday meeting on May 14, 2025. The meeting was a hybrid with 17 participants meeting via zoom and in person. President Andrew
Mangels called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m., began with a prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the Rotary Four-Way Test.

Andrew welcomed everyone, and since we had no speaker, we went right into club business.
Club news:
Amy and Wayne discussed a possible grant project in conjunction with St. John Westshore. There will be a summer health series, and we can possibly sponsor health screenings. They will continue to work through the details of this and other joint projects. Jim moved and Amy seconded that the club designate $2500 for the health screening project. Motion carried.
We will once again be helping out at the over-90 celebration at the Community Center in Westlake. The event will be held on May 21st at 9:30. See Rachel Maver for volunteer opportunities. As a result of this event, we will not be meeting next week, May 21st.
If you still need to do your Youth Protection training, please complete as soon as possible. Contact Terri if you need the link to the training. Jim has volunteered to be the Youth Protection officer effective July 1st.
The library will be holding its gala on June 6th from 7-10 pm. Cost is a $100 ticket, with all proceeds going to the library foundation.
Our new officer induction ceremony will be held on June 16th at Arrabiata’s. Please remember to RSVP.
Tubtim will be returning home on July 7th. We will celebrate her at our meeting on July 2nd. A hot breakfast will be served.
Rotary will meet at the Guardian’s game on August 15 th for a fundraiser towards the End Polio initiative.
Our next meeting on May 28th will be our Board meeting.
